<p>What's the competition like for out-of-staters who want to go to UVM? One of the older editions of the Fiske guide just showed SAT ranges and percent admitted (70%), but are most spots reserved for in-state students? Thanks in advance.</p>
<p>It's not hard. They really want a wide national presence, and their application fee is free if you sign up early enough.</p>
<p>If you're in or above their SAT/ACT ranges and didn't fail in school, I think you'll be alright.</p>
<p>Thanks! I'm above the SAT and ACT ranges (for the school's 2005 stats, at least), so hopefully it will go well. I'm planning to apply Early Action. This is okay even though UVM isn't my first choice, right? I know it's nonbinding but will I still have a shot at financial aid and everything?</p>
