UVM, UNH CHANCES!!!

-GPA: 3.34
-SAT: 1260
-Only APs taken are the three I’m taking now senior year.
-Senior year course load: AP Psychology, AP Calc AB, AP Macroecon, Spanish 4, English 4, Gov
-decent ECs
-pretty good essay/letter of recs

Freshman GPA: 3.14
Sophomore GPA: 3.25
Junior GPA: 3.43
Senior GPA: 4.0 (first semester)
Bit worried since both GPA and test scores are pretty low. Freshman and sophomore year were pretty bad due to some responsibilities at home (explained in my essay).

Why are you wasting everyones time!? Dude, you’ll get in with a beautiful scholarship for both schools lol

I am not quite as confident as @andrewl2k, but I think that your chances are quite good. Your increasing GPA is likely to help. Also, my guess (only a guess) is that the worst that is likely is that they will wait for your senior year mid-term grades, and if these are all A’s that will help even more.

However, I can’t guess whether you will get financial aid. Have you run the NPCs? UVM to me seems expensive if you don’t get any financial aid.

In many cases getting URM students to go to the more northern schools (such as UVM and UNH) seems to be not quite as easy compared to other US schools. Thus being Hispanic may help you.

Burlington VT is quite cold right now, particularly for someone from California, but it is a very attractive small city and I think that with a good coat and good winter boots you will grow to like it a lot. It is also only a two hour drive from Montreal which is an interesting side trip to do at some point.

Oh sorry missed that you are from CA, are you sure you want to go to these schools? its quite the change…I hope you visited.

which of the two are more of a change?
