UW Class info.

Hi, can anyone tell me any information on any of these classes. Im a transfer student and im not really sure what to expect from from these classes. Or if anyone has any recommendations similiar to these that would be easier/more interesting, i would greatly appreciate it. Also, what are the typical class sizes of these classes. Thanks :)

1)ASTRON 103

The Evolving Universe

2)ECON 102

Principles-Macroeconomics

3)ENGLISH 171

Literature, Gender & Sexuality

4)L I S 201

The Information Society

5)MATH 213

Calc/Intro-Differntl Equats

I’ve only taken Econ 102. Not too challenging about 200 people a lecture. It can get a little slow at times but if you study you wont do worse than a b.

I’ve heard Astro 103 isn’t bad from a few friends.

Math 213 is called “business calc” and it is just calc 2 for business students or for kids who do not want to take the five credit calc 222 course. I’ve heard its relatively easy depending on how good you are at math.

Your schedule does not look to bad and since you are a transfer you already have knowledge of what is expected in college level courses.
