After researching many different schools in the U.S I decided the University of Wisconsin at Madison is the best fit for me. The unique international business program, high business rankings and large selection of extra curricular activities all played factors in deciding to apply. Ranked at number forty one and number nine for marketing according to U.S News it would be an honor to be able to be a Badger.
I hope to take advantage all things the International Business program has to offer. What stood out to me is the required semester abroad and having to select another major. I have always had a strong interest in marketing along with international business so this is a great opportunity for me to pursue both. After visiting London with The Academy of Finance last February I knew I wanted travel abroad more when given the opportunity this is something I will definitely take full advantage of.
The extra curricular activities are very important aspects when finding the right school for me. Wisconsin has plenty. The Greek Life on campus is a great way to make life long friends and help give back to the community. The Leadership Certificate Program is another activity I hope to be apart of. Being a manager at my job leadership is a very important skill to me. I have to lead by example to be an effective leader. Communication, eye contact and keeping everyone on track to reach the same goal are all important qualities a good leader should posses. I hope to gain more skills and become a more effective leader through this program which will help for the rest of my life.
I hope to come to this school and take advantage of the endless opportunities it has to offer - it would be foolish not to. I want to make a difference in this world and I believe the University of Wisconsin-Madison is the place I should go to make this happen.
