How long do you wait to receive the letter that contains the information of setting up UW NetID and MyUW online account? (please include you apply as freshmen, transfer or international)

It should come with your welcome packet you get about a week after you’re admitted.

I thought one needs to have UW NetID and MyUW online account in order for one to check the application status?

oh yeah duh. in that case you should have gotten it a week or two after you applied.

Does the one or two week waiting time also apply to the international applicants?

DreamUni, have you ever taken any classes or College in the HS through UW before? I was confused about the NetID info for a while too, but then I discovered that UW had just sent me the info earlier when I registered for my language class.

No. I did not take any classes through UW before.

@dreamUni - if you haven’t gotten the letter yet, I suggest you call/email the admissions office when they reopen their communication systems (after this friday)

I received mine more than a month after it was sent out. It was postmarked mid-January and I got the letter last weekend.

If you’re international as well, maybe you just have to wait a little longer.

In this case, how are you going to check whether you have submitted all the required documents and your application status etc?

4 days ago, my status was “application waiting for an initial review.” Nothing on the site indicated that I was missing documents. Although I was kind of nervous since it said that they received my transcript on Feb. 24., which is pretty late.

But…
2 days ago, it changed to “we have reviewed your application”
and I received my acceptance yesterday.

So I guess it was okay.

I think they’ll contact you if you’re missing any documents.

Is there anyone has not received your acknowledge letter which contains the instructions for setting up a MyUW account for checking application information and documents received?
