<p>Yea, let's hope some of these life sciences investment (or gambit!) pay off. The University can certainly use some extra cash. ;)</p>
<p>It looks like one of the spinoffs is about to go public and WARF owns something like 850,000 shares (at no cost) and gets nice royalties on the patents. I am optimistic about the next budget as no UW haters are on the finance committee and the Gov is a big fan.</p>
