Hey guys! So I hope you all got your financial aid award. Im curious to know how everything goes. My friend that goes to UW Seattle says she gets more than $2,000 excess every quarter to her bank account because all her scholarships adds up to the COA and her real cost didnt even add up to it. This is how she explains it:
If COA of UW costs 27,000 and she has 30,000 in grants and scholarships, then 3,000 is gone. Then counting tuition and room/board and supplies, it totals to 19,000. So the COA-19000 is 8,000. Divide by 3 so she gets an excess of $2666 to do whatever she wants cause its her money.
Ik this is true cause she showed me her account and stuff but I just want to confirm this with everyone else if this is how it works. Cause shes living a good life with no loans
