DD is coordinating a look-see for a grad program of interest. Will fly in and out. One day to look at program & maybe one extra day to check out the area near the university. Any advice?

Thanks!
Make sure she considers cost of living and how far her stipend will go. Seattle cost of living is skyrocketing due to high rent.
Thanks for that heads-up @intparent ! Since this is my hobby, she’s asked me to take charge of the spreadsheets and details like COL. I’ll put housing costs on her list of questions for the grad students she meets. The grad school COA includes $15,051 for 9 months. There are a bunch of grad/married family apartments, so I take it that that figure includes 9 months rent plus at least a partial meal plan. Yikes though! Most are over $1000/mo.for one room in a shared apt.
Yes. That is about right. I live in a house split into apartments, and the millenials in the house who are sharing are paying $1,125/month
The light rail station is right on campus. That opens up some neighborhoods to the south and outside of Seattle proper.
