Hi folks, my daughter got admission offer from UW school of art and science with undeclared major . She wants to pursue undergraduate in Business/Economics & she has offer from Rutgers Businesss school as well. Wish to understand if going forward to UW in seattle with undeclared major & thriving to maintain GPA to get in to Foster School of Business(UW) makes more sense (in terms of internship/placement & ROI) opportunities or RBS is equally good.
Would really appreciate any insight on this. TIA
Those are two pretty good schools. I would look into the employment report for those two schools UW might have more offers from Microsoft and Amazon since they are in the same state.
Rutgers is pretty close to NYC so lots of jobs and networking as well.
One thing to look into is if these are direct admit to the business school or if you have to apply. What is her back up plan if she changes her mind about her major?
Also, I’m assuming Rutgers has more student support since it’s a very large school. Your daughter might or might not like that.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply!
Well for UW it’s not direct admit but for Rutgers it is direct admit to RBS.
She needs to think about her backup plan if she goes for UW & she is pretty scared of weeding out of her desired major. That’s why seek insight to know What are the majors she can apply for & how helpful the student service center is at UW as she will be needing support to make right choices at right time.
Thanks
