I am currently a student in Seattle community college and I wanna know if UW and SU make great stacks for finance major.
Thought that Seattle U is pretty notable for finance/management, and chance for scholarship is pretty huge compared to UW. but it is fact that UW is a completely different league when it comes to US rank. Idk if people would go to UW just to complete their undergraduate at Foster, but I need to know if it is worth it to join UW Foster instead of SU Albers for Finance. I’d prefer a private school but thing is it’s a Catholic university and it might let the chance of school being conservative or religious, which is a problem for me.
Why would you prefer a private school? Seattle U, like many Catholic schools, is Catholic but not necessarily very religious.
Are you a WA state resident? UW is likely to be your best deal financially, unless you get a substantial merit scholarship from Seattle U. Seattle U is good for business/finance but UW is excellent, and as you pointed out, it does have a much more national reputation. Seattle U’s is more regional. (Don’t worry about “rankings,” think instead about general reputation.)
It sounds like you are leaning towards Seattle U - why is that?
Lol thought my post demonstrated that I am actually clear for UW. I’m an international student and even I’m still not sure about it, I saw that SU only requires a certain GPA and English proficiency score on their site to be eligible for a pretty substantial amount of merit scholarships. but I still have no idea if it is guaranteed though.
I always wanna be able to enter private schools since they sound more prestigious and might offer more networking outside, but after all the reputation beats anything. It’s just admission to Foster is obviously more complicated than Albers for me and it will most definitely cost me more. but regardless, I’d have to go with UW if I get admitted into both.
