I know this is really early, but I couldn’t find any thread for this coming (2016) application process.
Just a little background: I got to know about UWC a couple of days ago from a friend, did a lot of research on the internet and am really interested in the colleges! However I’m homeschooled and did not take a full online course (not like Potter School or Alpha Omega or Interhigh etc, only NetSchool for some subjects), I don’t have any ‘official’ grades to submit, until I take my GCE O Level examinations in October, and the results are only released in January.
Are there any homeschoolers out there who applied for UWC, how did you do it?
I will try my luck in applying this coming July (or whenever applications are out) for the 2017-19 school year. If there are any current or ex UWC students, please share your application experiences as well as your UWC experience!
Hello! I just got accepted to UWC for fall of 2016. I think you should definitely be able to apply in your situation. From my experience, UWC is extremely flexible with this kind of stuff (much more so than the other boarding schools around) and they would likely be able to make arrangements with you. I wish you the best of luck!
Hey! It’s still really early, but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on what the National Committees look for in terms of candidates? Are all-rounded students preferred (athletic, academic, volunteering) or is community service the most stressed factor? Thanks for any help!
Hi guys, I’m Hannah and I’m planning on applying this year through the USA national committee for the 2017-19 year!
There’s some information on the application process in threads from previous years if your looking for tips/an overview of the process.
