I have been considering applying to the UWC schools which means I will have to do a 13th year of school since I am currently a junior and the UWC schools have a two year program. However, I also want to apply to college through the Questbridge program. Is it possible to possible for me to do both UWC and apply to college through Questbridge? My main concern is that even though I am a U.S. citizen, I will not be able to apply through Questbridge because I may be attending one of the UWC schools that are not in the United States. My other concern is that I will not be able to apply through Questbridge because I am doing a 13th year of school. Thank you in advance.

Contact the Questbridge staff, and they will give you the best answer. From my understanding, other than the college in South America, all juniors, if admitted to any of the partner UWC schools, will essential be “repeating” their junior year to pursue the two-year IB Diploma programme. Therefore, I would think that you would be able to participate in QB. I am fairly certain a couple of UWC students ARE QB finalists. I saw a few when I browsed past posts, so I would say you would remain a US citizen and would not be applying as an international student.

Although you may be studying abroad, I am thinking about the other expats who hold an American citizenship. Correct me if I am wrong, and I hope you will e-mail the QB staff! Hope it works out!

Thank you for the information! I will certainly contact the Questbridge staff and will post the response I get from them.
