I am going to apply to UWC, but I was wondering how IB works if you already have a year of it done. I know that you can't just go to UWC for a year and that's fine. Do the schools let you do the second year of your classes you've already started and then take different classes the second year? I have already done my IOP in English and am almost done with my IA in History. Would I have to do them again? If I took the tests after the first year so that I took more than 6 IB tests (because of 1 year classes) would IB take the first 6 that I took or the best 6 or...? Would I get my diploma after the second year of UWC or could I possibly get it after the first? So many questions! I would greatly appreciate and information I can get. From what I understand many students accepted to UWC have already been through the first year of the IB program so these issues must work out ok. Thanks to anyone who responds!

You have a few choices for your second year @ UWC:

1: Take more subjects in certificate form
2: Take all your SL Subjects in HL

You continue with all your Diploma subjects, and get a diploma @ the end of the first year.

hey having the same doubts even though its years later! i was wondering what you did , and if you had found any answers to your queries
