Validate me, please!

So, I posted my stats once before, but this is updated and more specific. Let me know your thoughts.
(By the way, this makes me feel incredibly lame and in need of validation...)

I am a senior at a small public high school in scenic North Dakota. I'm 25% Korean and 75% "other (unknown)." My mom is a single parent, and we're...financially disadvantaged? My EFC is $0. Neither of my parents attended college.

I am applying to:
The University of Rochester (first choice), the University of Chicago, Syracuse University, University of Michigan, Hampshire College.
...maybe Swarthmore, just for laughs.

Thanks!

I like your list, especially Hampshire College which I think would suit you better than UofR. Apply ASAP to UMich - better chance early on for a rolling admit school. If you are not accepted, or if there is a finaid problem with them add another likely admit school.

If you have not already done so, take a peak at Grinnell - great school, very well endowed.

It's nice to see another north dakotan on here!

It is!
There aren't too many of us...
