Value of a BSME + MS in CompSci?

I'm a 30 year old engineer in the Aerospace industry. I graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2005.

Career-wise, I've done well with Mechanical Engineering: I've steadily moved up the career-ladder at a young age, and received excellent reviews. The "easy" path to follow would be to go for an MBA and move into Program Management. But honestly... that doesn't really appeal to me.

From a career-satisfaction standpoint, I've lacked passion for my work. MechE is a "mature" field and the pace of technology development is quite slow. Most of the jobs tend to be in rural-ish locations.

My company pays 100% towards a graduate degree. I'd like to go part-time for a Master's degree that will truly open doors. Otherwise, what's the point? One option I've considered is a Masters in Computer Science. There are several top-name programs offered through distance education.

Would there be any unique value to having a BSME + MS CompSci?
