In the IB school I attend, it is suggested that each student takes three SAT subject tests. Considering that I finished my one year SL course in IB Biology, I plan on taking the Biology E subject test next October after a summer of studying. I also plan on taking Math 1 and potentially literature. However, as of now I plan on majoring in Political Science and then going into Law. I would take either the US History Subject Test or the World History test because of it's relevance but unfortunately because of timing, I do not believe I would do very well on either. I took World History last school year (my sophomore year) and scored a 98 on the Regents but did not take the subject test and have forgotten a large portion of the subject matter. This year, I took my first year of a two year US history course. Considering that I have only taken half the course and have not learned a lot of the information on the subject test, I do not think I would do well on this either. Considering this, would decent scores (650-700) on the Biology and/or Math 1 subject tests benefit me at all when applying to schools if I declare Polisci my major? Some schools I plan on applying to include UNC, Georgetown, Penn State UPark, BU, BC, U of Michigan, SUNY Bing, and others. Also, I got a 2010 on my SAT 1 (660 Math, 670 Verbal, 680 Writing) but I plan on retaking this in November.

Look at the admission sites of the schools you just listed and see if they consider SAT2s at all. They are usually only required for highly competitive schools. Also, take some time to run the Net Price Calculator on the school’s web site. You would be out of state for at least one of the public Us you listed and probably have to pay >$50K/year.
