Just got an email: decisions out tomorrow, 3/27 (Wednesday) 6:30 EST, 5:30 central
LOl! I just received this standard e mail right after I sent the one above:
Dear,
As of Wednesday, March 27, after 5:30 p.m. Central Time, your Vanderbilt admissions decision will be available through your MyAppVU portal. At that time, to view your decision, you must log in to your portal. Details of any need-based financial aid awards also will be available via your portal.
Sincerely,
John O. Gaines
Director of Undergraduate Admissions
Vanderbilt University
hahaha same. Gosh I am nervous right now
Yes!!! Now watch. You can all just laugh at all of my anxiety when S19 is denied and we don’t even need to worry about this.
Good luck to all! Looking at the stats this year for the ED group the standards are higher than ever!
Oh thank goodness. Now maybe I can focus on something else and actually get something done. Good luck everyone.
Just registered for Anchor Days. It let me make that reservation. Anyone else want to try? Wonder if that means anything.
I would, but I don’t have access to the portal, and if I ask S19 to do it, I think I’ll get my head bitten off. He doesn’t want to know when the decisions come out until they are out.
you don’t need the portal @Trixy34 . Just google Vanderbilt Admitted Students Day and it will bring you to the page and then you register. You just enter the kids’ name and email.
Yes everyone can register it seems. @homerdog
We were able to register
Ok. Thanks for checking @factoryboylol and @jpehurley
Anyone know how hard it is to get into Vanderbilt vs UVA (OOS) or Emory? I’m nervousss
It’s less than 24h
Just to let everyone know, registering for Anchor Days doesn’t mean anything. I just registered our D21 using my email address and it let me register her. Lol. Now to cancel that reservation…
Anyone knows the admissions rate for RD, and the student profile?
Vandy is definitely a reach school for me, so I’ll honestly be surprised if I get anything other than a rejection tomorrow. But you never know schools have been so wack this year
I’m so nervous for tomorrow guys. I wish everyone the best of luck.
Chill all. I went to Vanderbilt (and my son is waiting to hear tomorrow if he got in). Trust me, it’s not that incredible. Sure it’s a good school, but there are lots of good schools. Honestly, I didn’t even enjoy it that much - I went to Emory for grad school and my son got in to Emory (along with UVA). Even if he gets into Vandy, I am telling him he should go to Emory or UVA. Lots more fun. Just sayin’.
@flippengoose In other words, Vanderbilt was not a good fit for you, so you’re pushing your son and others away from the school.
