Unfortunately, I can’t afford Vanderbilt. But I’m so happy I got in! Congrats to all those admitted, hang in there to all those waitlisted, and don’t worry to all those rejected. Everything happens for a reason 
To those that were WL, I believe that Vanderbilt is a school that tends to use their waitlist every year. Accept a spot and make sure to communicate with your admissions officer that you are still very interested. Good Luck.
Well these were the most stressful few days of my life… (accepted thank goodness)
They took 240 off the waitlist last year. I don’t remember how many took a spot on the waitlist but someone can look it up on the CDS.
Question, I was waitlisted but am planning on taking a gap year. Do you know if I am eligible to? I know if you were waitlisted to some schools they don’t allow you to defer.
Next to where it says you have been offered a spot on the waitlist it says “you’re in…#VU2023” that seems odd considering most waitlisted students wont get off the waitlist. Anyone else see this too?

How exactly does the waitlist letter read?

I didn’t have a letter. it just says “you have been offered a spot on Vanderbilt’s waitlist; claim your spot now” and “You’re in! Share the news with your friends! Be sure to include #VU2023 in your posts so @VanderbiltU can congratulate you!” which doesn’t make sense because waitlist is not “in” lol
Same as @lemonstress23 in that the waitlist decision includes the congratulations and #VU2023; the linked FB and Twitter posts refer to acceptance as well. Is that for all waitlisted applicants?
Yeah, they need to clean that up. Why on earth would they put a “You’re In!” on a waitlist offer? WL’ers are by no means in at all.
