Vanderbilt Class of 2015 ED1

i want my letter right NOW haha all my friends keep getting into schools like columbia, upenn and stanford and i am so jealous. this is so intense.

i really don’t think i can wait any longer!

I feel ya. I am constantly checking the admissions blog on the website just to remind myself that this is all actually happening. I wish i could just fall into a deep sleep for a few days… haha

Where are you guys all from? You think if letters are mailed tomorrow afternoon we will all receive letters by the 17th or 18th?

haha yeah a deep sleep would definitely be great, considering i have no idea how i am going to survive the next couple of days…

i live on long island and i think the 17th is a realistic guess on when they’ll arrive.

Yea I live on long island too, that’s what I thought.

yeah i live in southern connecticut and im hoping for the 17th, especially if they stay true to their word about mailing letters tomorrow afternoon.

I actually live in knoxville, TN so I am somewhat close. I hope to have mine by the 16th.

Oh thats awesome. I envy you!

Haha, well I guess that is one of the few pluses that goes along with living down here. haha

how long do you think it will take to reach los angeles?

so nervous!

based on what other people have said, it usually takes 3 days to get to california

they were mailed! see the blog. omg this still doesnt feel real.

Yeah, it’s surreal. Especially because my ap bio grades suck lol. Oh well…
Good luck everybody

if my SAT scores were 1360 and the feburary data for EDI+II was (1390-1470)? Am I in significant danger? I have ECs to make up for it. Also got 700 on my writing for SATs if that means anything.

This is for ED1

my ap bio grades suck as well… they really messed up my gpa… but, i’m pretty sure that vanderbilt has their own way of weighting each grade, so it shouldn’t end up hurting us too much.

“squeeze”, vanderbilt says that they look at each applicant holistically, so i’m sure if you have other requisites to compensate for your standardized testing, then it shouldn’t influence your application too negatively. i’m in the same boat and hoping that the holistic review prevails!

Thank god for holistic review! Took a huge load off my back. Thanks a lot and best of luck for you and the rest of the applicants!

PS. AP Bio killed me too :D

just curious… did anyone apply to here apply early decision to peabody, blair, or the school of engineering?

Who wants to go with me to track down the mail truck so we can hijack it? It only takes about 5 hours to get from nashville from my house, so I should be finished sometime tonight. I think a felony would be less painful that these next couple of days are going to be.
