Vanderbilt CV Scholarship??

I'm starting on all my applications and Vanderbilt is one of my absolute top choice schools. I don't have any worries about getting in, but I can't afford the tuition (and my family will not receive any need-based aid). Does anyone know of people who have received CV scholarships and why (what about them was impressive), or can anyone give me advice on giving myself a better chance if I even have one?

School: One of the best in the city
Classes: Nearly the most challenging available
Grades: Unweighted 3.96 on a 4.3 scale
Testing:
230 PSAT (Likely NMF), 35 ACT, 2170 SAT (1530 CR+M), AP Physics 5, AP Stats 5, AP Euro 4, AP English Lit 4 (school does not offer an AP english class), SAT II Biology 700 (Not sure if I should submit this)
ECs (weak):
Summer swim team for 12 years, was hired as a coach last summer
This year at my school, I started up a small business/charity; we sell snacks after school and give the profits to the local soup kitchen
Volunteer in the hospital ER 3 hours each week (I will have been doing this for around a year)
I work; swim coach and lifeguard in the summer and pro shop worker (the desk) at the same place during the school year (1 shift)
I have run cross country and track every year, however sports are required at my school
This and last summer I volunteered at my church as a crew leader for a 1 week vacation bible school
Since sophomore year, I have participated in TEAM+S, an academic team/competition

I would go to the scholars page on the website and read about others who have made it - usually they list bios on these types of scholarships.

I think you have a wonderful profile - and I would also recommend that you apply to a couple other financial safeties. Especially as a NMF - you may want to apply to schools that guarantee significant scholarships for a NMF … there are threads posted about these scholarships.

Good luck!

Thank you! I am applying to some more colleges too, including one which is very generous for NMFs. I’m glad to hear I have a chance
