I’m the same way! The waiting is seriously killing me. I know I hardly have a chance, but these next two months are going to be torture.

Hahah. It’s better than the five month wait for regular.

@avogadro6022 gasps and has a minor freak-out I think the wait has gotten slightly less torturous knowing there’s another nerdfighter out there And I used to think waiting for AP scores was bad…that was nothing haha

Oh and @Elizabeth1315 I know exactly what you mean by thinking your schedule isn’t rigorous enough. My school doesn’t even have honors classes and only three AP classes plus 3 more college-in-the-hs type of classes. I’ve taken them all and I still worry. But as far as I know, as long as you’ve taken everything you could, you’re fine (:

@nerdfighter23 haha, definitely! best of luck to you (and everyone else) (:

How many letters of rec are you guys sending? I did two teachers and my counsellor.

That’s all I’m doing. I don’t have anybody that would necessarily add something NEW to my app, so I didn’t ask more than the two teachers and counselor for them. Does the counselor actually write a letter or just fill out the school report?

I’m doing 2 teachers +2 others (4 yr band teacher / 4 yr ultimate frisbee coach)
I was under the impression that the counselor letter of rec was required?

Yes it is required.

That’s what I thought, haha. 16 daysss.

I moved after my sophomore year, so I don’t have a four year connection with a mentor that I think would make for a solid letter, but I know my counsellor is giving me a great letter along with my teachers

What did you guys write your common app essay about? I wrote about how I discovered I wanted to study economics doing MUN in Holland.

I did the prompt on what marked your transition from childhood to adulthood…
I wrote about the the how the wildfires this summer near my house forced me to completely realize anything can happen at any moment, and how that metaphorical “veil of teenage invincibility” simply doesn’t exist for me anymore because of the fires. Basically, my house almost burned down this summer and it was freaky and crazy and scary, and I learned quite a bit from it.
I think I’ll at least get some originality points there, maybe, I hope so…
Aha I doubt anyone else is writing about the 2014 Washington wildfires as a base for their essay in particular, but who knows

Haha. That’s good. I’m writing about my 4 years in marching band. Pretty cliche and common, but it was extremely significant to me… impacted my life.

That’s awesome though (: I bet it’ll be clear what kind of person you are (dedicated for sure, aha) to your AO

Haha thanks. I feel like it will be too trite, but my other options aren’t as significant.
Yours sounds…unique!

Sweet, that’s what I was going for.
Ahhh, I just want this so bad! I feel like I basically stalk them hahaha (:

I hate to be a nuisance, but can you guys chance me? I’m super nervous and I want to know what others think.

Thank you in advance!

@AngelsToFly000 no worries, we’re all nervous (:

Yay, my academic teachers have started their letter.
