@vandyhopeful77 in the comments of the most recent post on the admissions blog. I tried to link it but my phone won’t let me.

Oh I misread somewhwre as everywhere.

It’s probably going to be 5 pm tonight

I picture the admissions counselors hitting “send” and running from the building!

May the odds be ever in our favors :))

Yeah. Probably 5 CST? When they leave?

yo tengo miedo :////

Regardless of what happens - keep a positive perspective. If you are not accepted at Vanderbilt, there are myriad other outstanding schools where you WILL be accepted and you WILL ALL do well. The school you attend is not determinative of your future. It is what you do at whatever school you attend – and what you do with that education - that counts. You can and will be successful regardless of where you attend. Wishing everyone the very best!

Everyone who doesn’t get in should post where we actually end up going! I think it would be cool to see where we all end up.

One more class to get through today, and it’s pe so I won’t have access to the internet. This will probably be good for me

I’m traveling today so I have a bad feeling they’re going to release the decisions while flying!

I just skipped my 4th period lit class to go to journalism because I can’t focus. Although what sucks is that i have about 20 stories to translate by tonight so I won’t have time to either grieve or celebrate lol.

so just read a whole bunch of stuff, so you guys are all pretty much thinking that since we didn’t get a time, it will be coming out tonight 5-7CST?? Oh my goodness I’m shaking i can barely type!!!

It’s only 3:20pm in Nashville. Decisions could be posted any minute… or not until tomorrow!

OKAY heres my reasoning. I think they will post them right at the end of office hours, so maybe between 5-7 Nashville time. They basically have to have everything done by now so theres no reason they would come in Saturday morning to release decisions when they can do it Friday afternoon and be done.

I’m guessing that the posting is automatic. It is probably all teed up and scheduled to go live on a certain day and time.

The beauty of a Saturday is that you can read your decision in the privacy of your own home. For every person who is reading an acceptance, there are several reading not accepted and it can be painful. Posting on a Saturday is a very humane way to do it.

They’ve worked so hard over the past few weeks making decisions… I think they should just hit post and leave early

I’m sure someone has to ok the final release, I highly doubt its an automatic release.

Im really hoping its today, I’m a nervous wreck

Not that my opinion means anything, but I’m a current student and I think they’ll post at 5 PM. That’s historically how Vanderbilt and most colleges do it.

And keep in mind in your nervous frenzy that the portal might go down or it might take a few minutes to get in. When I got my acceptance I discovered that you can’t be logged in already and just refresh, you have to log out and log back in after 5/post time to see your result.

Best of luck to all of you! No matter what happens, you are all incredibly driven and have amazing potential. Remember that no matter what your decision is, you are still the same person you were before you had it. I hope to see some of you at Vanderbilt next fall. :)
