Vanderbilt ED1 Class of 2025

Accepted! I’m actually surprised since I’m 1) not ranked at my school (school only ranks top 10% and we have a class of 900), 2) I didn’t take any sat/act, 3) graduated early so my senior course rigor was poor, 4) didn’t get national merit or anything of that sort. I guess this just goes to show that anyone can get in even without perfect stats (on that note before someone comes at me, I’m a published poet and run several clubs relating to literature in my community. I also work online as an editor and wrote -what I think are- bomb essays). I think my case is more holistic than some others where they come in with “perfect” stats and “perfect” extracurriculars, but ig they saw how passionate I was towards poetry and saw me as a great fit! Hope to see some of you next year!!!

accepted!
Asian Female in GA.
GPA: UW - 4.0 W - 4.3
ranked: top 10%
SAT/ACT: N/A
APs: probably one of the most rigourous course loads in my school; 13 by senior year - all 4s and 5s (except one)
ECs: had notable leadership roles in around 4 main activities but only at local and regional level—long commitment time tho; musician at state level; no independent research or competition stuff but I excelled where I could
Common App: nothing traumatic; talked about how I grew out of a toxic mindset that my parents placed on me and how I grew from it.

It’s still so surreal on how I managed to get accepted, but I will proudly say that I had a really hardworking mindset for the past three years and an amazing support system. Good luck to everyone on their college decisions!!!

Congrats to all admitted! Has anyone admitted found out about financial aid? I see on the Financial Aid page they mention that a first round of aid notice should come out mid-Dec., but when I check my Financial Aid tab, it just shows that my FAFSA/CSS were submitted?

Contact the financial aid office as Admissions and FA are separate. You can find their contact info here: About Our Office | Office of Financial Aid | Vanderbilt University

You shouldn’t have to commit until Vanderbilt has provided you your FA award and you’ve assessed that it is adequate.

My S is submitting his vanderbilt essay now as Regular decision , we did not find any drop down list to select a major on the Vanderbilt application, how did you all select the major ?

Is there an RD admission discussion group for Vanderbilt? My D18 applied RD to Mechanical engineering and we’d like to join a group and learn more about when those decsions might start coming out or if they all release on the same day.

Yes, here is a RD class of 2025 thread

omg hi I’m a junior but so interested in Vandy and also have NLE awards!! Do you think that helped your application a lot?
