Depending on your current school, u might need to take some of the major classes again. My friend transferred to CMU as a rising junior but she had to retake calc 3 again cuz our calc 3 didn’t cover everything they taught in CMU. She also need to retake some comp sci classes. So u just lost college credit aka money unavoidably. Also cuz as rising junior u already have a solid friend zone. It’s just hard to leave friends.
Also if u haven’t submit ur application now, I feel like u need to be really good to get in, cuz they probably already made most of their decisions. And if u rush the whole process, ur application might not look very refined.
I feel like good chance that this Thursday will be the day
May I ask, Why Thursday? @whata777
Looking back over past few years they tend to go towards a Thursday, Regular/ED/ and transfer
I was thinking Thursday as well. I think that’s when the first wave came out last year
@quantumtheories Honestly, I would notify your admissions counselor if I were you. If they find out that you have courses on paper that you aren’t actually enrolled in, it might not reflect well on your application. I’m sure they would appreciate your honesty in telling them.
Good luck to everyone! Since none of my emails got answered, I’m going to assume that I’ll be rejected since I turned in my application late. But it’s okay. I knew it was a gamble turning it in so late.
@IndirectProofs Don’t lose hope. A friend of mine transferred in last year after getting little to no communication or feedback from his admissions officer. You never know when emails just simply get lost in the shuffle. I feel like the best indicator of your acceptance is your application and its strength, not the cordiality of your admission officer to you.
I applied to rutgers and to be honest it was a nightmare trying to contact them as they didn’t answer. My college transcript was nonexistent and my high school transcript only made it in two days before decisions and I still got in. So I agree don’t lose hope! I did eventually get in touch with the admissions team but I pretty much thought they hated me because my application was so complicated, but you just never know!
I’m also worried that emailing them 3 times made me look bad. but I’m definitely not going to keep emailing them. I don’t want to annoy them.
I emailed Rutgers 21 times and another school 15 times?
You could always try emailing another email?
I emailed my admissions counselor 3 times, then I emailed the regular admissions email once. I’m thinking I might here back this week, but I’m just going to let it go for now.
@IndirectProofs I hope they get back to you soon with your questions! Maybe you could try calling them if they are unresponsive to e-mails.
Have any of you guys signed up for summer classes? I signed up for one at my current university and it’s pretty aligned with my intended major at vanderbilt, so I think it would help my application to include that I’m taking the summer class. How do I tell them I’m taking a summer class? Do I just email my admissions counselor? I’m not sure if she’d respond since they’re so busy now, and I imagine they’d want proof that you’re taking the class.
Does anyone know if they have created the Facebook group for this transfer class yet? I’m getting sort of antsy for these decisions to come out soon.
@oceansquare thank you! Since I only finished school up to 7th grade, I tried telling them I don’t have a high school transcript so my application is going to be incomplete no matter what I do since I cannot provide that. At this point, I’d like to know if my application would even be reviewed!
Does anyone know if most decisions come out in the first wave?
if i applied March 15, does that mean my decision won’t come in the first wave?
It will come in the first wave.
@Quakerdude it was created about a week and a 1/2 ago
