@gumgum123 How do you know that if we submitted our Common Application by March 15th that we will have a decision in the first wave? I wonder if applying before that deadline gives you a better chance or just lets you know your decision earlier.
My friend turn in her application on March 15th two years ago and got her decision in the first wave.
will the first wave come out in a couple of days?
but 2017 was on tuesday
So maybe tomorrow ?
Here are the past few years transfer decision dates:
2015 - 4/6 Monday
2016 - 4/18 Monday
2017 - 4/18 Tuesday
2018 - 4/26 Thursday
So in other words it could be basically any day this week haha
@theriley106 It’s just one wave? They all send it out at once?
@oceansquare No, there are different waves each year. Those are just the dates of the first decision.
Does anyone know what time it’s usually released (eg. 6pm EST)???
@36Biscuit IIRC it’s 5:15PM EST
I just read on their website that the “strongly encourage” you to apply before March 15. Do you guys think this means preference towards early applications?
Okay thank you! @theriley106
Also does anyone know if they usually notify us???
Honestly, the decisions seem to be getting later each year – I wouldn’t be surprised if it was later than the 26th.
Hey everyone i am new on the comments here my name is Robert they said the decisions come out early May so next week this is for everyone
I called them about 30 minutes ago they said decisions go out early May
@robert62 So are we thinking nothing until first week of may at least? Did they say that is for the first wave?
Yes nothing until May that’s what I was told
It states on their website that decisions come out mid-April…
@tmsavage I feel like unless the decisions come out today then they will technically be in late-April anyway. I’m not sure if either source knows the exact time. Whenever they get here, they get here. We just have to keep checking around 5:15 each day until a lot of people on here confirm that they received decisions, and then we will know that the first wave has arrived.
Last year they came out on April 26. On April 25 this was posted “You guys aren’t going to be happy, but I just called and now they’re saying “AFTER May 1.” It was just the front desk girl, so maybe she’s wrong. I hope so. I have to make a $300 deposit to my state school before May 1” … there seems to be doubt whether the people answering the phones really know and may tend toward saying a later date to try to quell over eagerness
