My issue was that I never went to high school and so I don’t have a transcript or test scores. They had to forward me to a special person who deals with alternative education paths. they didn’t mention decision dates.
I’m super happy to hear back because it was over a week since I sent those emails, I was starting to get sad.
Oh, that’s quite unusual. I am an immigrant, so I am not very familiar with the American secondary education system, but don’t they have a GED exam that you can take to fulfill the HS diploma requirement?
For me, it’s been quite challenging as well: Schools in my tiny home country where I received my secondary education don’t have the same kind of paperwork that American colleges expect, and not everyone has been equally understanding. It’s yet another challenge to overcome. But I guess, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right?
(A false maxim, from a strictly scientific standpoint though.)
How’s everyone feeling - I bet today is the today.
I bet tomorrow
I really hope so because I can’t concentrate on studying for finals im too antsy ?
Be honest though - whether the decision comes out, whether accept or deny - it will be hard to study for finals at any outcome lol

my admissions counselor changed
@goodreads How did they change? I thought each counselor was assigned to a specific region of the globe.
@Quakerdude I don’t know, just changed. I have a different counselor now.
I just got into Emory! I hope Vandy comes out today
Rejected from emory:( really really hope I get into Vandy it’s my first choice
Is anyone really thinking that Vandy will be today, or does tomorrow seem more likely?
No matter what we think it could be today or tomorrow or any other day. Although, I would say that the first wave will definitely be out by May 3, as any date after that seems unlikely.
@polyscidreamer That’s awesome! Congrats to you! Even if Vandy doesn’t work out I bet that is a huge load off to be in to a great school.
@Quakerdude thank you! it feels amazing to have gotten into any school especially one like Emory. I’m really waiting for Vanderbilt and Georgetown though, they are my top choices
Maybe you got in and you now have an internal counselor who advises Vandy students?
