I am an international newly admitted transfer to both schools.

My current major is EE but I want to go to Wall street.

Maybe I will dual major in EE and physics or math or maybe I will take a minor in economics

Which school is more popular to investment banks?

Will these IBanks show up in on-campus job fair and recruit someone like me with a major in EE or physics or Math?

Any comment will be appreciated.

You need to contact the Career Center at each university and ask specifically about job placement for INTERNATIONAL students. With an F-1 visa (student visa) you are allowed a certain number of months to work in the US after graduation. If you have not found an H-1B visa sponsor by the time your work permission expires, you will have to leave. You need to find out which banks in your own country are likely to hire you.

To be completely honest with you, I have to say that the only people I know of who have managed to find H-1B visa sponsors are those who hold at least an MS in an STEM field, and who have been hired for a job specifically related to that STEM field. Most of the people I know who have found H-1B sponsors have PhDs in STEM fields and multiple years of work experience in the US and/or their home country.

Both EE and Math are STEM.

And most importantly, both math and EE at Vandy sucks. That makes the decision really hard.

So I wonder if the job placement at Vandy counld balance out its weakness.

Yes, Math and EE are both STEM. However you are looking for a job in I-Banking. The STEM people I know who found H-1B sponsors are working in STEM fields, not banking. They are doing high-level computer program design, or are heading up bio-tech research labs. Since you want I-Banking, you need to ask the Career Centers very specifically about that kind of work.

No it can’t go to MICHIGAN - it’s international alumni network is incredible. This is really an easy choice given your major.

“And most importantly, both math and EE at Vandy sucks. That makes the decision really hard.”

If that is how you feel, why would you even want to attend their in any case?

Michigan is a top ten business school so lots of connections on Wall Street.
