Vanderbilt Road Show Regional Information Sessions

The Vanderbilt admission officers are traveling to tell students about Vanderbilt. My thanks to the parent who first told me about the link below.

You may find these meetings helpful as you plan your applications.

A more complete list of regional information sessions by lots of colleges can be found at

Good luck during the application season.

Thank you for posting the link on this forum, tokenadult. I wish more students would take the time to investigate Vanderbilt. My son did not take VU seriously until almost the end of the college search season; when he finally looked into their programs in depth, he changed his mind completely and is now attending.

So far he thinks it is great and that he couldn't have made a better choice, given his set of criteria.

Knowledge is power, students. Attend the info sessions, contact the schools with your questions. Make your choice an informed one.

Unfortunately the Road Show event has already taken place (last week of August). However, I know that admissions staff represent VU at a variety of college fairs and high school events throughout the fall.

Interestingly, one of Vandy's reps had dinner at my house last night. She spent the last week in our metro area speaking at various high schools. It was very interesting to talk to her about her experiences. Specifically, I asked whether she took note of specific students who attended these events. Her response indicated that she did note those students who seemed to only be there to get out of class (ie, midway through the session asking "What school are you from?", or something to that effect!)....I imagine if those names came up during the application process, they would probalby have a bit of a hurdle to overcome!

I too would urge any and all high schoolers interested in attending an excellent university to attend such sessions and to present themselves well...

How'd you organize that, churchmusicmom?? I am jealous!
