So my college application process has finally come to a close, and I've gotten into a lot of great schools (Vanderbilt, Carnegie Mellon, Michigan are among the top). I've always liked Vanderbilt, especially after my visit there in February, but then a wild card was thrown into the mix:Miami.
Thanks to my audition, I received the Stamps Scholarship, which covers full tuition and room & board for four years. This has pretty much thrown my decision out of whack.
I got a pretty good scholarship at Vanderbilt as well, but nowhere near the offer at Miami.
Don't get me wrong, Miami is a good school...but when compared to Vanderbilt, it doesn't quite measure up.
Wherever I go, I will be doing a double degree (music and economics) for at least the first year, and then determining which route to take from there. I plan to visit Vanderbilt and Miami over spring break, but I was just wondering:
Which would you choose? Vanderbilt with scholarship or Miami with a full ride?

it depends on your major.
i’m in a similar situation between vandy and upitts.
both have good pre-med/med programs. but i got 3/4 scholarship to upitts and only like 15k in scholarship from vandy (idk about fin. aid.)
…idk what to choose either…
but it sems like you should do vanderbilt.
their music program is excellent. i think it’s better than miami’s.
