For instance if I take 3 tests I could theoretically use 1 section from each test to make my score Vandy uses?

Yes. They superscore.

Though, I don't know if they care about W.

I wish they would care, though. Like, someone can get 750 M + 740 CR + 660 W, which equals 2150 (I'm just making numbers up). And someone else can get 700 M + 700 CR + 750 W, which also equals 2150. But the first person has a huge advantage over the second person.

I understand that the W system is only 3 years old, but it's still equally standardized like the other sections now.

But that's just my 2 cents. :)

yeah, Vandy superscore. grr...i hate superscores, both of my friends got perfects on their SATs because of superscores, and they haven't stopped rubbing it in my face yet.

I don't think the writing counts for much either, especially since they ask stuff that are completely pointless (oh wait, that's all of the SAT) and the essay topics are just complete BULL!!! :(

lol, I'm not particularly fond of the SAT.

Superscoring can only help you, though.

i don't hate the concept of superscores, just the fact that i didn't know about it until it was too late.

How was it too late?

Didn't you already get accepted?

lets just say I was a part of the Stanford Slaughter.

lolwut????

I got rejected from Stanford Early Action, the acceptance was like 7% or something so we called it the Stanford Slaughter.

Ah, yes. I heard about that. I thought that was rather ridiculous.

But I meant, were you accepted to Vandy already?

yeah, got the mosaic thingy.

Well, that's definitely something amazing to be proud of. :)

thanx! getting into Vandy was a great relief. I was dancing when I got the letter. made a fool outta myself in front of my neighbors. but it was worth it.
