<p>Hmmm, ive been thinking about it for the past couple days and im trying to figure out why its like this. My school is an urban school but not inner city or anything like that, it is run down and seems underfunded. Here ill post the average SAT scores from my school</p>

<p>I agree. khoitrinh, I think you need to be a little more modest on these forums. I know you can hide behind the anonymity of the internet, but it's still annoying, and I think you, as someone who is so academically "stellar", should have the maturity to recognize this. </p>

<p>Getting back on topic.</p>
<p>My school and a lot of other schools in my area have a reputation of being full of kids who quite frankly dont want to be at school and as a result we lose funding. When compared to schools in the neighhoring cities who do recieve more funding, they have higher test scores, but its not that big of an improvement and isn't that far off from the national average.</p>
<p>I am also from VA. Seeing as how competitive VA colleges and universities are, its a bummer that many people have low SAT scores.</p>
<p>Well,its really just a few colleges that are like that in the state(UVA, W&M). I talked to people who live in the western part of the state and they said there schools are like mine and underfunded while its the opposite in NOVA</p>

<p>I think the average is just just Math and Critical Reading. With all three sections its like a 1320. The national average isnt that hot either.</p>
