I can't decide between Vassar and Wesleyan! I'm interested in majoring in English, and both schools have great programs, but I really don't know which to pick. I think Wesleyan's program/student clubs focusing on literary stuff are better, but I like Vassar's architecture and what I see of its student body more...what would you suggest I do, pick the better program, or the SLIGHTLY more appealing school???

So apply to both and count your chickens after they hatch.

Oh, I want to apply ED somewhere for a few reasons so I’d like to pick one for that.

I think Vassar is also strong in literature…

Choose the one you like the most.

I also like Vassar’s architecture :).

Look deeper into the academics and make your choice based on that.
Do not pick a school based on architecture, you will not notice it at all after it wears off (which will be in the first few months).

^ But, if you pick an ugly school, you’ll have to look that thing in the face for the next four years of your life.

Well, by architecture I basically mean campus, which is probably pretty important?

If you can detect a difference then go for the program. Your aesthetic tastes are bound to undergo some changes over the next four years (and yes, I’m personally biased against Second Empire architecture, at least, the way it’s often interpreted in the United States.)
