vcu program

clarify what? i got into vcu... not the honors program (yet) have u not gotten ur decision

i got into the vcu honors program...i haven't received my decision regarding my interview with the bs/md program. "clarify which stage of admissions ur at" is what i meant.

i got an interview at vcu!!!!!!! february 14 is the date i listed as my first choice... of course, i'll find out whether i got that as my first choice, but let me know if ur going to be there as well feb. 14. good luck to the 58 other candidates!

p.s. how many of us are offered acceptance?

congratulations!

to get the interview, do you have to accept the honors packet thingy? because i have not done that yet.....and it has been 3 weeks lol. but i was confused because i didn't want to accept the offer of going there, but i still wanted to be in consideration for the bs/md program....

My son got his interview invitation too..

Congratulations to everyone called for an interview! How many reserved seats do you think they have? I hear they're only interviewing 59 applicants.

Last year they had 36 accepted students

Once you reach the interview stage are you chosen on the basis of your stats, or the quality of the interview? Just curious.

I got an interview as well! YEAH!

Hmmm...I got the email today from Anne Chandler that says that she is testing all the email addresses out.....is this a good sign? bad sign?

Yeah, I received something similar to that before getting an e-mail that confirmed my interview. It doesn't mean anything special. Just sit tight and hopefully you'll get some good news too. Good Luck!

haha , well i didnt get in, its a good c hance that i just didnt meet the qualifications, but i also turned in my honors acceptance late. is that an issue?

do they require you to turn in the honors program acceptance? and what are the stats of those of you who got interviews? do you know how many people actually get in to the program?

PrinceofNam, if you don't mind, could you please put up your stats? I'm interested in knowing what other applicants have under their belts...Thanks...

Yes, you do need to send in your honors acceptance form...don't worry...it's not binding at all. If you don't get in to the G-Med program, you aren't committed to VCU...However, I think it might be a bit late now to send it in if they already gave out interviews...Your best bet is to call the office itself and check with them...

I don't know about how many they are accepting this year, but last year 36 students were offered acceptance...

that's a really pretty statistical chance of acceptance after getting an interview.....

yea, we're supposed to send dr. chandler an email of what date we want to be interviewed by tomorrow....it seems a bit late......try anyway, tho

When date did you give as your first preference for the VCU Interview 'papucutta'?

pretty crappy, 1310 sats, salutatorian, very few medical history, lots lots lots of extracurriculars

hey my interview is feb. 14 at 9am......when is everyone else's? anyone on feb 14?

I have my interview scheduled for Feb. 18th starting at 9 A.M...
