cutiepie... yeah if you don't get an email tomorrow I would definitely call.

funkmasta... yeah I think you are more or less just like me. They must have had to make some tough decisions.

funkmasta... yeah I think you are more or less just like me. They must have had to make some tough decisions.

thanks son of liberty- i called and they said "you sent in your rec letters to the undergraduate admissions office and not the honors college, therefore, you will not be considered for admissions."

they should have at least told me that i had an incomplete application. they sent me a postcard saying that they had everything.

oh, well, good luck to everyone who got interviews though- i hope you get in.

....rejected ... funkmasta my stats and ECs are eerily similar to yours...i mean REALLY similar... jus switch a few numbers, take out a few ECs, add a few different ones, change indian male to indian female and VOILA there you have my resume....loll :D

I'm a junior.
if funkmasta is rejected, then I am definitely rejected by them.
:'(

hey i got an interview from vcu but my stats werent anything different from funkmastas...i have 1420 sat and 3.82 unweighted gpa with ECs but i also had a lot of doctor shadowing work and research....maybe thats important...i duno ....60 ppl got interviews does any1 know how many get accepted?..has any one had a vcu interview yet?

I shadowed doctors, actually a few of them, I only mentioned one well, because it was the one that really influenced me....that sucks really bad.

its ok..i heard form a friend that vcus prog is hard to stay in but i duno....where else are u applying

lehigh, drexel, and some unreachables such as rice, brown, northwestern, but those were kind just for fun. Is VCU hard to stay iN? I heard it was okay, not too bad compared to some others...

how hard is drexel to get into? and neoucom?

neucom is supposedly not that bad if your an ohio resident. drexel is probably at par with VCU, maybe harder, not too sure.

Does VCU give preference to Virginia Student and Minority or so-called FOB?

vcu requires that u maintain a 3.5 gpa...thats like minimum to even apply to medschool ANYWAY so its friggin awesome! i got an interview too and my stats to be blunt are 1990 SAT 780 bio, 670 chem, 700 math 1c, 4.02 w/3.95uw. but again noone knows what they are looking for. i mentioned that i am an electric violinist and fluent in arabic...so i guess that was my hook w/ such low stats compared to everyone else.

oh i thought it was a 3.4 you had to maintain...w/e..i heard drexels pretty hard to get into but i mean u haev to take a mcat and get a 30 on it so thats retarded...and neoucom is like impossible if your not from Ohio....i havent heard from them

any1 applying to any NY med progs

i also believe that VCU favors in-state students b/c about 14% of its fundings comes from the Commonwealth of Virginia (got the stats from MCV website). with over 75% of applicants being out of state, hopefully us in-staters have a really good chance of getting in.

Yeah! I'm a in-stater!

I never received a test e-mail....or notification of an interview/rejection...has/does everyone received either an interview or rejection notification or just for interview??

How do I send in my midyear senior grades to VCU for thhis program?? Is there a fax number for the integrated program or Honor's program. My grades have really soared (all A's in 6 Ap's)... Incredibly strong upward trend.

i think that your school automatically sends mindyear grades bc with the applicaiton there was a sheet and even if tehre wasnt a sheet, your school should report midyear grades...did u interview yet?

anyone had their interview for vcu yet? any tips?
