Vectors and Matrices on SAT MATH II

How often do vectors and Matrices come up on SAT Math II level tests?

I just want to see how much studying time i should put into these stupid topics.

As far as I know Matrices appear rarely. After all, to miss just a question is not a big deal when it is about Math II.

The only vector problems I have seen are VERY basic. If you've taken any calculus...

Addition of vectors (x,y) and (a,b) = (x + a, y+b)
Length of a vector = ((x + a)^2 + (y + b)^2)^(1/2)

is pretty much all you need.

Never seen any matrices.

agreed, vectors are fairly basic - just adding and length.
i saw a matrice problem on the june 2007 math ii, but it was very basic material that i was able to find in my princeton review prep book.

basically, you won't need to know anything that you couldn't find in a standard test prep book.

Very rare, it may not appear on the test at all. But it's probable.

lol there are no linear/matrix algebra type question on the Math IIC. the only thing they can ask about vectors like procrastination said is to compute the addition/length of vector(s).

I had a matrix question on mine. basically all you needed to know was

If you have a matrix that is a by b times a matrix that is c by d ...

b and c need to be equal
the resulting dimensions are a by d

Yeah, ad-bc is the detreminant.
