My son's FAFSA was selected for verification. He found one school site that requested the Verification form, and it showed up on his IDOC list. Should he be proactive in sending the Verification form to his other schools, or wait until it is requested? Thanks!!

No! He should never send any verification info anywhere until/unless it’s requested by the school. They will mail you the verification form and instructions separately. It’s possible that not all schools will verify him.

Yup, I was actually “verified” one time in the four years so far of FAFSA. My FAFSA “selected by FAFSA” for verification one year but I was never asked by the college for any actual verification. The college(s) will contact you and tell you what they need if they are going to verify your forms.

Okay, thanks! It seems like all of his schools are already asking for complete tax returns, so don’t know what else they would need, anyway.
