Very Big Weight for Interviews!!!!!

I heard that if you have a really good interview, that can really help you a lot for admission into Columbia. Vice Versa. Do you know if this is true? or Does Columbia not take interviews into account as much as other colleges?

At most top colleges (including Columbia), bad interviews are lethal but great ones can help at the margins. At Columbia, your academic record is still the most important factor.

And I wouldn't worry about the interviews, I didn't get one, but one of my friends who was admitted to Columbia said her interview was just a regular conversation on her thoughts and her life. No big deal.

i didn't get one and was still admitted (and even scholared) ED. i'd agree with columbia2002 though that a goodone might be a little nudge but a bad one will really cost you. remember they're lookgin for reasons to reject people, not to take them.
