Very curious..

Hello everyone. I know that universities give the space that's been opened by people who are accepted by Harvard but end up choosing a different school to waitlisted applicants. But how often does this "space" occur in Harvard? Is there a percentage? thanks.

Aren't you jumping the gun a little? First you should see if you're waitlisted, THEN worry about your chances.

Harvard doesn't offer that many spaces to waitlisted applicants most years- this year I think it was only four or five. Remember, they don't accept the number of students that they want to have- they accept more, since they assume about 20% will choose a different school. This year, they had an unusually high yield, and therefore let in only a very few students off the waitlist. However, some years I believe it can be more.

Still... why are you thinking about this now?
