Very good high school GPA, average College GPA

First of all, I want to transfer to Emory for the Spring 2015 semester.

High school-

GPA: 3.9 uw /4.45 w
SAT: 2010
ECs: varsity soccer, co-president of a club, member of a few clubs, energy academy, volunteering, etc.

College-
GPA: 4.43
ECs: tutoring, job at a car wash

I was doing really well academically, until I realized that I didn't apply to the right schools (ones that could offer me the financial aid I needed) and would have to go to a community college until I figured it out. Disappointed doesn't even describe how I felt! I always pictured myself at a 4-year university and having to stay at home with my parents to be surrounded mostly by unmotivated individuals was DEPRESSING.

Anyway.

My community college GPA and record don't reflect my abilities and I'm wondering if my chances will be hurt drastically by the decline or if they'll be understanding of my situation.

********** 3.43 college GPA **********

In order to make the Emory admission officer understand of your situation, you need to have to a compelling reason in essay why your college GPA is as it is.

How do you know Emory will provide enough financial aid and affordable? Your CC GPA is low for Emory, perhaps try other lower ranked schools at the same time.
