<p>Hey, I was filling out the CSS profile am stuck at this question.</p>
<p>Is the college authorized to discuss the family's information with the student or to release the family's information to financial aid agencies and scholarship donors providing aid to the student? As part of this release, is the college authorized to release to the student upon request any form containing parental financial information (including the parents' tax form(s))? IT IS A YES OR NO ANSWER</p>
<p>not everyone will get this questions, only those applying to Columbia University will be asked as a SQ.</p>
<p>My only concern is give 2011 tax returns in which I was listed as a depenedet to my uncle, and not my father because I was living with my uncle (NOT A LEGAL GUARDIAN), but the according to school records I was licing with my parents. </p>
<p>if the schools find this out, will this be a big discrepancy and a problem? All of the financial info provided is 100% correct and I can prove it. This is the only iffy part about my entire process!</p>
