“Only 1 AP freshman year” oh the horror.
You do realize that probably 90% of applicants at any of these schools took maybe up to 1 AP total by the end of sophomore year right?
11 APs by the end of junior year is honestly ridiculous. I don’t think anyone will be questioning your ability to handle college level academics. Your grades are fine.
I FEEL YOU, I was ashamed of and extremely concerned about my 3.9 UW gpa when I was applying for colleges, and I got into some very competitive schools. Don’t worry about it, colleges look at much more than just gpa! Your coursework and test scores help make you a good candidate for those schools.
@nac7890 I hope you’re right. Thank you. I just hope that since the UCs cap the GPA, all my APs and hard work won’t be a waste. I am really hoping that they also look at the uncapped gpa.
I think you definitely have a great shot at the UCs. I am not very sure about their admissions (I’m not from CA), but I heard that they do not care that much about freshman year, which as you can see definitely works in your favor! I think you also have a good chance at Duke, JHU, or CMU and will get into at least one of them!
