Very odd...

When I check the recommendations section of my online application, it says the counselor rec was received on 10/3/2007, and the teacher rec was received on 10/10/2007. Both, I think, were submitted online

But when I check my Wolverine Access site, it says under "Other Required Application Materials," HS counselor rec received 10/16 (the day I got the UMich ID email), while it says the teacher rec is "not received."

What's the reason for the discrepancy in the date of the counselor rec, and the fact that it says not even received for the teacher one on the Wolverine site? Is it because of processing? If the teacher rec doesn't show up as received in the next two days, does that mean I missed the Early Response deadline? Even though I submitted my part on 10/15? The tests and transcript are all in.

I would def call them and check on that, especially bc the deadline is fast approaching.

I was looking at the UMich application site, and I found this:

"If you are an undergraduate applicant to the University of Michigan, you may check the status of your application materials online. Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks from the date that you received an email or letter application verification from the U-M before checking your status online*. If you are an undergraduate transfer applicant to the College of Engineering, or the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, you will need to contact the appropriate unit directly to inquire about your admission status.

For step-by-step instructions on how to log on to Wolverine Access (the site where you can check the status of your application), please follow the instructions in the document attached below or the instructions at this link.

The online status check link will allow you to check your application material status online, and will list what materials (if any) are missing. Please be advised that it typically takes three weeks for us to receive and process documents. If your high school counselor and/or teacher have informed you that they have already sent in the applicable materials, and the materials are "missing" online, we recommend that you check your status again after 2 weeks.

IMPORTANT: It is important that you keep your contact information current with our office. You may update your street address, email address, and phone number using this web site (provided you have not yet registered for classes)."

This seems to say that I should not worry that my teacher rec is listed as "not received" on the Wolverine Access site, though it has been confirmed as at least sent on my personal application site. But I want to double check this (I tried calling, the lines are busy).

The only thing that I find weird is that the GC recommendation would have been received and listed as received on the Wolverine access site, but not the teacher's (I'd thought the admissions people would do everything for one application at once). The counselor rec was sent in exactly a week before the teacher one.

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE.

I emailed them, and this is what they told me:

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Michigan has now received your teacher recommendation. Unfortunately, we still have not received your counselor recommendation. Please have your counselor re-submit his/her recommendation.

WHAT THE HELL.
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAD! Now tomorrow's the deadline, and they probably won't process the recommendation for at least a few days even if my counselor sends it tomorrow!
