Vibe of Vanderbilt vs Emory vs Duke vs UMiami?

We are doing some college tours and will get to see Emory and Duke soon, but can't make it to Vandy or UMiami for a while, and I'm not sure if we do visit them, if it will be when students are there.
Do you think the population and overall feel of those schools would be similar. If someone likes one, are they likely to feel the same about the others, or are there a couple of those that are more similar than the others?

Maybe.

I looked at all four of these schools and applied to three of them.

Big Sports- Present at Duke, Vandy, Miami, not at Emory
All four have some Greek culture, but at none of them is it the be-all-end-all
Emory is more artsy
Southern feel- Vandy is the most Southern of these schools, and Miami the least
Campuses- Duke and Vandy have some of the nicest in the country, but Miami’s weather adds something for it, too
Location-
Duke is in an area of Durham that is pretty nice, but not the downtown. There are some places to go off of East Campus.
Vandy is the best mix between city and school that I have seen. It has a distinct campus, but has a lot of restaurants near the school, and downtown Nashville is only a short walk away.
Miami is in a residential area and has some stuff around the campus, but the immediate neighborhood is not the most exciting.
Emory is completely removed from Atlanta and, while it does have some nearby restaurants, nothing felt right about it to me.

OP here…We just toured Emory and Duke this past week. D loved both of them, but found Duke to be perhaps too overwhelming for undergrad. She absolutely loved Emory; the vibe, the look, the students, the activities…We don’t love the cost and that ‘meeting financial need’ includes loans, or the odds of getting in. The search continues.
