Video submission?

I’m currently playing the violin and viola and I’ve been considering recording a video for the schools I’m applying to (Choate, Exeter, Deerfield, etc.) but I’m not sure if it would be of benefit since I’m definitely not at an internationally recognized level, although I am participating in a state orchestra as well as the one in my school as a violist. So my question is—if I’m not the best at violin/viola, should I still send in a video?

Not sure if this information is of importance, but my violin/viola teacher (I study with the same teacher for both instruments) is writing my personal recommendation for all of the schools that require one.

Hi, I’m only an applicant myself but imo I’d send one if you are good enough to play at the state level and would want to continue in bs. I think the more you send the better picture of yourself you paint.

If there is a supplemental section then you can perhaps include it as a link. Upload it to Youtube and make it private. I’m not sure if it will help much because the boarding schools you mention don’t generally recruit kids based on instrument. But it probably wouldn’t hurt.
