Are there any other villanova students out there??

My D called from the Connections Retreat last night and is having a blast!! She has met so many incoming freshmans already and a lot from her major. And she said all the current Villanova students/counselors are so fun and friendly. One of their events was to take inner-city kids to the Philadelphia zoo yesterday. She was partnered with a 9 year old girl and had a great time.

Hard to imagine we were biting our nails just a few months ago to see if she can get into this school....and know she is THERE and is happy as can be!! Thanks again to those on this website who helped us get here :-)

newdawn6- so glad your D is having a great time. Wondering if you've made your reservations for Parent's Weekend? Last year, as a rookie Villanova parent, I waited until last minute and had a hard time finding a hotel. The date is September 14,15 & 16 which is a perfect time to see your D after the August drop off. You may already be organized with this but I just wanted to give a heads up to all the freshmen parents out there.

Momsworried - funny you mentiond the Parents' Weekend 'cuz I just made our hotel reservation last night!! Now...do we just wait for something to come in the mail for that event?...I thought I read somewhere to make reservations or get tickets for certain events that weekend.

Oh...and THANK YOU for keeping us newbie parents informed. I can't express enough how helpful you've been.

newdawn6- you will definitely get something in the mail requesting number of tickets to events etc. The Saturday night event is usually some comedy show. Last year it was the guys from "Who's line is it anyway?". It was so great that I'm hoping they will come back this year. I also heard a rumor it might be Jerry Seinfeld. Please feel free to ask any questions as they come up. It eliminates the stress if you have answers to even the simplest questions. :)
