Villanova Class of 2025 -- Regular Decision

The Committee on Admission has completed a holistic review of your application to Villanova University, and it is with regret that I must inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to the Class of 2025.

This year, we experienced the largest pool of applicants for admission, and the Committee had the responsibility of making so few selections from among so many qualified applicants. I know that you may be disappointed by this decision. Your candidacy was given careful consideration by the Committee. This decision is not a reflection upon your achievements, but rather is related to the selection of a limited number of candidates from a large and highly competitive group of individuals.

I wish you much success in your future academic endeavors.

Waitlist letter…

Dear xxxxx,

The Committee on Admission has completed a thorough and thoughtful review of your application to Villanova University. This year, the University experienced the largest and most competitive pool of applicants in the University’s history. While we were impressed by your credentials, the Committee decided to place your application on the Waiting List.

If you wish to secure your place on the Active Waiting List, please complete the “Waiting List Reply Form” on your Applicant Status Page* by Friday, April 9, 2021. Only those candidates who affirm their desire to remain on the Active Waiting List by the required date will be given further consideration should we be selecting students from the Waiting List. To help guide you through this process, please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions.

Should vacancies remain in early May, each candidate on the Active Waiting List will be reconsidered by the Committee on Admission for each position available in the Class of 2025. Please be assured that you will be notified by June 30, 2021 regarding our final admission decision.

Thank you for your continued interest in Villanova.

Sincerely,

Michael M. Gaynor

Curious if anyone knows when the waitlisted applicants can expect to hear back. Obviously after April 9th but when is the latest? End of April presumably?

In the letter, it says that June 30th is the latest waitlisted applicants will hear back

Strange… Don’t most schools expect responses back in May?

Accepted???

When should we expect financial aid/scholarships notification?

On May 1st, they’ll know whether or not they need to access the waitlist. Then it’s a one by one process until all spots are filled…but no later than June 30.

Are you asking or telling?

I hope you’re telling!

lol i’m telling i’m just so confused

Essays:
I said before hand either the person reading would hate it or love it, as I kind of took a more unique path with my essay. If they liked it, probably a 9/10, which they prob did, given that I got accepted to both BC and Nova today (extremely grateful).

Recs: Both are solid, one from my AP Stats and Honors Geometry teacher and the other from my APUSH teacher. The AP Stats one is more than likely really good though, probably a 9.5/10 or close to 10/10

That’s generally my app right there.
