So I was recently accepted into Villanova ED through this program/scholarship. I also recently just got a new old car. i’m located in the south. i know only credited juniors and above can have cars on campus, but is there any way for me to possibly be able to drive it up and have it? if not on campus itself, anywhere i can store it near the campus, like a residential or a parking lot?
Congrats : ) I went to Villanova…class of 1996 lol. I was coming from Atlanta and needed a car on campus as a freshman for medical appointments and my mother provided a note and I was allowed to have it on campus right in front of my dorm on south campus-Good Counsel. I live in the area and the Villanova area directly sounding the University is residential and has a lot of non-street parking to prevent students from parking there. I believe you would need to have a good reason to be permitted to bring your car and leave it on campus.
My son is currently a Freshman and I can confirm that it is extremely rare for any Freshman to be granted permission to bring their car. My son attempted to do so for both health and job reasons and was denied. He is also aware of other friends on campus who have attempted the same thing and have been denied. There is also no nearby lot. With that said, the train station is on campus and the Uber and Lyft services have been reliable. I don’t think you will need your car.
