Villanova Honors

Can you be rejected from Villanova’s Honors College, but still get into Villanova?

Yes, the Honors Program is for students considered to be academically gifted and is less than 10% of the student body. Our tour guide was not in the program.

So my application to the honors program does not decrease my chances of getting into the school? I am applying as a first year

No, it doesn’t. My daughter is applying too. Good luck!

It seems as though it is not a separate application but part of the common app. The website indicates there is an additional essay for the honors college- can anyone share this?

It is in the Villanova Portal - Once you apply and indicate that you are interested, it adds the Villanova Honors essay in your portal

Yes, applying to the honors college does not decrease your chances of getting into the school. I was denied from the honors college but accepted to the university.

Does it matter if you select “yes” for honors college on the CA, but then later decide not to do the honors application?

I believe you should be able to do that. My understanding is that there is no obligation to pursue Honors if you do not want to.
