how is the tennis team perceived on campus? is there much support for the team and how are other athletes other than basketball perceived?

I wasn't even aware Nova had tennis. I would assume it's not very popular, in terms of fan support. As far as perception, I'm sure non-basketball players are treated like any other student.

It is true, basketball is huge at Villanova. However, Villanova is a very athletic university all around! Not as many students go on to cheer at the tennis matches as they do basketball games, but school spirit is definitly prevalent everywhere on campus. It's no so much what sport people are cheering for as much as it's the fact that they are cheering for Villanova.

Hi-- I was a former villanova tennis team member. i think athletes have a common understanding that participation in a DI sport is a huge time and energy commitment and there is a definite respect. Maybe some other students won't realize this, but most will. Furthermore, professors and future employers respect the fact that you are committing to a sport. The villanova tennis team was a great time and I am so glad i did it.
