VIP application

Anyone else do this? I just turned mine in and want to know how long it'll take for them to decide and reply.

i got my acceptance today which is about maybe 3 weeks(MAX) later

I got my acceptance about 2 weeks later. It was so fast!

I sent mine in about five weeks ago, and still haven't heard anything!

I haven't heard anything either and it's been about wks for mine too.

oops....5wks for me too

I gave mine in on Dec 1 at like 12:01 AM (heh...) and I got my acceptance envelope on Dec. 23rd-ish. But yeah, I don't really understand how drexel does this, because a friend of mine applied WEEKS before I did with the VIP application and she still hasn't gotten anything.

what is the VIP application? is it like early action? i applied for early action in early september (4 months ago!!) but i still havent heard anything and when i tried to email them to ask if they had recieved all of my materials i got no reply...

The VIP Application is a short application that they send to their top prospects based on information about you (GPA). I am not completely sure how they got my information, but the application was mailed to me and the deadline was December 1. So I guess you could maybe call it early action because you are supposed to hear early. However, it has been weeks since I submitted mine, and still no response. In your case, I would try calling drexel and asking them if they have your application on file. Good Luck!

Yeah, it's been almost two months since I submitted mine. Yesterday I got a letter saying my app had been moved to the admissions committee or something like that so I guess I should find out pretty soon.

I sent in my VIP application in October and I got my acceptance about a month later.

Ok, it has been about 7 weeks, but I finally got my letter today...Accepted!

about the drexel VIP app: it's not like early decision in that it's binding, right?

I just got mine today. I don't think it's binding, there's no fine print anywhere saying so.

I did the VIP thing today as well, when do can we expect an admissions decision?

does the VIP thing apply to people who wish to apply to the combined bs/md program at drexel?

I just submitted mine... I had no idea this type of thing existed. At first I thought it was too good to be true. If I'm applying for an accelerated program will I have to pay the fee anyways?

I just applied but I have to wait till I go back to school to get my counselor to fill out that form and send in my transcript. So it should be 3-7 weeks max? If I could find out by October, that would be awesome. Not that I really plan to go to Drexel at all, but if I can get in with a lot of aid money and I can know by October, it's a very good feeling to have that safety school already accepted and you don't have to worry like, "Oh man, I'm not going to college at all!" haha.

so when we find out if we're accepted with the vip app do we also find out how much financial aid they're offerring?

I received a letter the other day stating that they have received my application and everything has been completed, so they are in the process of making a decision. Has anyone else received this? If so, how long will it be before a decision is made? Also, will we know if we qualify for any scholarship money upon receiving an acceptance letter? Help would be appreciated...
